Career Development Event Ambassador – Fall 2026

Get involved on campus, gain hands-on event experience, and help create a welcoming experience for fellow Bears and visiting employers!

The Morgan State University Center for Career Development (CCD) is seeking Student Event Ambassadors to support our Fall 2026 signature career events. Event Ambassadors will work alongside CCD staff and student employees to welcome attendees, provide directions, support event flow, and assist with general event-day activities.

Students may volunteer for one or multiple events based on their availability.

Fall 2026 Events

• Fall On-Campus & Part-Time Job Fair – Thursday, September 3 | 11:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Fall Career & Internship Fair – Wednesday, September 30 | 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Fall Networking Mixer – Thursday, November 5 | 5:00–7:00 PM

Volunteer shifts may include time before or after the scheduled event for setup and breakdown. Specific reporting times and assignments will be provided in advance.

What You'll Do

Depending on the event and assigned shift, Event Ambassadors may:

• Welcome students, employers, and guests
• Help attendees navigate event spaces
• Support check-in and attendee flow
• Distribute event materials
• Assist with event setup and breakdown
• Provide general assistance to employers and guests
• Serve as a friendly and professional representative of Morgan State University and the Center for Career Development

Who We're Looking For

No previous event experience is required. Students should be:

• Dependable and punctual
• Friendly, helpful, and comfortable interacting with others
• Professional when engaging with students, employers, and guests
• Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Willing to assist where needed during their assigned shift

Students from all majors and classifications are encouraged to participate.

Please Note: This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity. Students do not need to participate in all three events.
